Announcing Church Day Camp at Chestnut Ridge
Camp Chestnut Ridge, Efland, NC (about 25 minutes from church)
Monday-Friday, July 2-6, 2012
(camp WILL be open on Wednesday, July 4)
Transportation will be provided from the church (the van will leave at 8:15 a.m. and return at 5:30 p.m.). Registrations is open to children who have completed grades K-8. Camp costs $198 per camper (a $52 discount); includes lunch, snacks, (Chestnut Ridge is famous for its fresh, organic food, most of it raised on-site!) and activities (except horseback riding, optional). During the day, our kids will be mixed in with other day campers by age group, doing age-appropriate activities.
To register your child/ren:
+ Go to www.campchestnutridge.org
+ Under “Sign Me Up,” click Summer Camp Registration “online”
+ Create a new account (or sign in to an account you created previously)
+ Start a new application for Chestnut Ridge Summer Camp 2012
+ Read and continue
+ Enter camper info (new or existing), continue
+ Check the box for “Church Day Camp” at the top
+ On the same page, scroll down to July 2-6 week, check the box for “Church Day Camp—Duke Memorial UMC” and the camper’s choice of “majors” (Majors are for kids in grades 2-8 only; they will do their “major” for part of every day and sample the other activities throughout the week as “electives”)
+ Click “continue”
+ Continue through the registration process. You can pay for it all now, or pay half now and the rest by May 1.
+ Print and complete the health form, but DO NOT send it in before camp. Health forms must be delivered with each camper on Day 1 of camp.

Duke Memorial Weekday School Registration: Feb. 3rd!
Church members can register for DMWS for the 2012-13 school year on Friday, Feb. 3rd at 9:00 am. We offer classes for children ages 2- Kindergarten. Children must be the age of the class they are interested in by August 31st. Please visit our website at www.dmws.org for more information.

Monday, 2/13: Who is My Neighbor? Dinner and Discussion
The first Dinner and Discussion to kick off our mission theme will be Monday, February 13, from 6-8pm in Whitford Hall. There will be food, a panel, and discussion about listening to and being with our neighbors. We hope everyone can come! Childcare will be provided.

Parents’ Night Out: Saturday, Feb. 19, 5:00-9:00pm!
The Youth of Duke Memorial intive familes to participate in Parents’ Night Out! Space is avaialbe for 50 children (including 10 in diapers). Drop-off and pick-up at the Soul Cafe. Suggested donation of $10 per child ($25 limit per family) will all proceeds going to support Youth missions and programs!
